| Strategy and policy consultancy | | | | | | The dynamics of economic and demographic change are becoming increasingly clear at all levels. At the same time the tightening of national, regional and local budgets means that there are growing constraints on the ability of public authorities to influence developments.
Incerasingly, there is therefore a need to develop strategies for coping with this change of social paradigm, and to discuss and implement new public policies. Regarding the urban development strategies, this is something which directly affects the towns and local authorities, but reorientation is also necessary for the framework activities at the levels of the administrative districts and the laender.
SWOT-analyses, discussions or role models, strategy workshops, and future conferences are only some of the instruments and procedures which are increasingly being used to respond to the challenges. We have many years of experience in the development, discussion and implementation of strategies, as well as in the provision of specialist consultancy services.
We are currently working in cooperation with the Institut für Regionalentwicklung und Strukturplanung (IRS) on the project "Strong towns - Strengthen towns / Master plan for urban redevelopment" of the Brandenburg Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Planning (MIR). The goal of the project is to provide integrated recommendations for towns and for the future orientation of urban development and urban redevelopment policies.
