| | In the GeoDB project a geographic database stores spatial data for processing. The main field of application is data visualisation and presentation. The GeoDB provides an application programming interface (API) which can be used to develop applications to meet individual needs.
The maps are available either in the form of grid data or vector data. For both formats there are API-functions for presentation, processing or storage. Standard external GIS-formats are supported, as are various geodetic projections.
