The new GLOBUS software is a scalable system
for decoding and passing on approximately 250 000 meteorological
messages daily.
All meteorological codes (FM 12, 15, 16, 35, 86, 88 etc.) are
suitable as input formats. The modular structure also allows the
implementation of special codes, which are defined for specific
tasks.
The output format is not dependent on the format of the input.
Any message in an acceptable format can be transformed to any
implementable output format. Basic output formats are FM 94 BUFR
and FM 92 GRIB.
The introduction of new formats, such as developed in 2002 at the
meetings of the COMMISSION FOR BASIC SYSTEMS of the WMO, is fully
supported by the modular software architecture of GloBUS.
GloBUS is designed to serve as data provider for the workstation
NinJo. Information about NinJo can be found at | |
